Jan Edwards is back — and she’s bringing every kind of love with her. The Minneapolis-born, Nashville-seasoned, and now Naples-based singer-songwriter released her vibrant new EP, Love Love, in May of 2025, offering listeners a kaleidoscopic look at the messy, magical, and meaningful sides of love. Blending pop, jazz, folk, country, and blues into her signature style, Edwards proves once again she’s a genre-defying force with a fearless heart.
“When life is all about love, in all its forms, I wanted to write about it,” Jan shares. “All the ups and downs, ins and outs, ugly and beautiful — they’re all represented in this EP.” And that promise holds true from the opening notes. The dance-pop title track “Love LOVE” sets the tone with a joyful celebration of love in all its forms, while “Strawberry Kisses” flirts its way into your ears with a summery, sweet vibe reminiscent of Watermelon Sugar. “Solo Is the New Black” stands tall as a breakup anthem with serious swagger, and “Check” flips dating expectations on their head with playful honesty. The EP closes on a sultry, soulful note with “Passion Flower,” delivering one final reminder that love is never just one thing.
With a career that includes penning the #1 Texas hit “I Will” (recorded by Darrin Morris) and earning placements in film, TV, and advertising, Jan Edwards has carved out a space all her own in the songwriting world. Her latest project, Love Love, is a bold extension of that creative spirit—each track a mini-universe, each lyric grounded in truth.
